ABOUT THE PIECE
The story is set in Israel in the mid-1980s.
CHERV tells the story of a man who survived the war, yet never fully managed to survive it within himself.
The fear, pain and nightmares of childhood shape the course of his entire life. The war ends, but its traces remain within him and continue to live on — in his body, his actions, his relationships and his family.
At the heart of the performance is the conflict between the individual and war: not only war as a historical event, but the war that continues to exist in memory and lived experience.
