Two people, two generations, two suitcases.
A woman from the 1990s and a young refugee meet in today's Berlin. A dialog full of music, memories and hope develops between the past and the future.

PARTICIPANTS

  • Actress (diploma, St. Petersburg) with many years of stage experience in Germany and Russia. She has played the title roles in Maria Stuart (Russische Bühne Berlin) and Ich bin Edith Piaf (IBDT Berliner Drama Theater), where she was also co-director.
    Her artistic training has taken her to the Mozarteum Salzburg, the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center (USA) and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg.
    She worked as an assistant director and dramaturge at the Deutsches Theater Berlin in Fräulein Julie and Platonov (director: Timofej Kuljabin).
    Her most recent film roles were in De Dans Van Natasja (director: Jos Stelling) and Keine Stadt. No village. (directed by Ekaterina Reinbold).
    She lives in Berlin, speaks fluent German, English and Russian, and is also active as a singer (mezzo-soprano).

  • Actor, director and co-founder of the "Urban Theatre" in Berlin and a city theater in Saint Petersburg. He has played over 20 leading roles on stage and appeared in more than 15 film productions, which have been shown at international festivals such as the FilmFestival Cottbus, Achtung Berlin and "Dukh Ognya". In Berlin, he has appeared in productions at Ballhaus Prinzenallee, Theaterforum Kreuzberg and Kühlhaus, among others. He has worked with the Maxim Gorki Theater and developed the project Miscarriage of Freedom, funded by the DAKU Fund. His artistic focus is on interdisciplinary performances, political theater and the reflection of flight, identity and memory.
