This musical performance is a reflection on time, memory, flight and the future - embedded in a musical-grotesque plot. Two characters meet in the present: both are migrants, both literally and symbolically carry the baggage of their time and origin.
The woman is an older immigrant who came to Germany in the 1990s - from a country in decline, full of memories, turmoil and hope. The young man is a recent refugee from present-day Russia, which is in the midst of an aggressive war that he does not support. He is searching for a new identity, for peace - within himself and in the world.
They meet at the interface of past and future: their stories are different and yet connected. Past (heritage, loss, language) meets future (hope, change, uncertainty) - in the transitional moment of "today". Music serves as a bridge, as a language beyond borders.
